What we do

We specialise in garage conversions and house extensions.

The two most popular reasons for having a garage conversion carried out are to either extend the kitchen or to add an additional living room area. Knocking through from your kitchen and into the garage allows you to create a massive open plan area that you can use for a modern kitchen and dining area. For larger families, having a second living area can be a great way to give everyone a bit more breathing space as well.

New Space for Whatever You Want

Perhaps the most convincing reason to get a garage conversion is the fact that you’ll have an extra new room’s worth of living space in your home. If your garage is like 90% of the garages we see, it is properly full of cardboard boxes amongst other bits and pieces and a room you rarely use, then the extra space is a great reason to think about a conversion.

There are loads of things you can do with your new room including:

  • Extra kitchen space
  • Extra bedroom with or without en-suite
  • Extra living room
  • Kids’ playroom
  • Cinema
  • Gym
  • Home office
  • Games room

A lot of people throughout Northern Ireland see a garage conversion as an opportunity to do something completely unique. After all, converting your garage essentially gives your home an entirely new room, so why not use it for something your home lacks? This is where we’ve seen customers use their new space to create their own personal gym, a home cinema, games room, workshop, soundproof music room, art studio and much more!  All of which will add value to your home.  but generally speaking, we can convert your garage into any room you desire! Simply get in touch with your ideas and we will create your dream room!

Minimal Disruption to your day to day living

When we are working on your conversion it usually only takes about 7 days and for most of this, we will not even have to enter the rest of your home, which leaves you can go about your day to day life.

First question we get asked usually is DUST!!! Is there much dust?

Simple answer is no your house will be kept virally dust free from the construction. Past customers have been amazed that we have taken down walls and made new door openings and their houses have remained dust free.

Cost-Effective

A garage conversion can be an excellent way to give yourself more living space in a cost-effective manner whilst increasing the value of your home. According to some recent surveys, around 80-90% of garages aren’t actually used for parking by homeowners. Instead, they are often left empty or used as storage, with many becoming a dumping ground for unused and unwanted items.

Most homes have a driveway for the purpose of parking anyway, so a lot of garages are left as extra unnecessary space on the side of your house. By choosing to convert your garage into extra living space with the Garage Conversion NI, you could significantly increase the value of your property without the expenses of a standard home extension.

We’ll professionally convert your garage in line with current building regulations. The average increase to a home’s value with a job like this could be anywhere between 10-15% which will outweigh the cost of the conversion so it also works as a good investment.

For example, an en-suite bedroom conversion can significantly increase your home’s value. Having an extra bedroom always adds property value. In any case, while converting your garage can be costly, the increase in value to your home will outweigh the costs. Compared to a standard home extension, a garage conversion is by far a more cost-effective way to give your home more personal living space.

Convert Instead Of Moving

A lot of growing families move house to gain more space i.e. extra bedroom and miss out on the potential of converting their garage. Moving house is a very costly process between solicitor fees, stamp duty and estate agent fees the fees can all add up to more than the cost of converting your garage.

Easier Than Building An Extension

Garage conversion costs are significantly lower than those of getting a full extension. That’s because you don’t need to worry about laying new foundations or building new walls. Your garage conversion will largely use the existing walls, meaning that not only do you save costs, but the conversion is also quicker and easier than getting an extension.

You won’t have to sacrifice any of your garden space by getting a garage conversion instead of an extension. Most of the work will be done inside the garage, so disruption to you and your daily life will be able to be kept to a minimum.

Getting planning permission for an extension can be lengthy and frustrating. When you opt for a garage conversion, however, in 90% of cases you won’t need planning permission. You usually only need planning permission if you’re planning to extend or enlarge the size of your garage. Opting instead on internal work to give yourself more living space is a great way of utilizing the space already available to you.
